Functional Nose Surgery and Rhinoplasty: nasal septum, turbinates, nasal valves

Septoplasty surgery corrects deviations and deformities of the nasal septum.

It’s combined with rhinoplasty (rhinoseptoplasty) in those cases where the patient has difficulty breathing due to bad positioning of the septum. It is also used to correct crooked noses. In these cases, to reposition the nasal pyramid also means to realign the support structures of the nose.

In those cases where a closed nose is caused by inferior turbinate hypertrophy, we proceed with a laser Submucosa Surgery Treatment.

The use of lasers in turbinate surgery allows the operation to proceed without complications such as excessive bleeding and furthermore avoids the NEED FOR TAMPONS during the postoperative period.

A vascular obstruction causing breathing problems can be congenital, caused by trauma, caused by prior nose surgery or caused by old age.

Rhinoplasty is capable of correcting these problems.

Nose-valve surgery is very complex and has to be planned on a case-by-case basis.
